Instructor in Business

University |
From her first days as a student at the former Hardy Elementary School
on Lake Street through her graduation from Waltham High School, Jeannette
developed a love of learning from her teachers
and parents.
One of the reasons Jeannette worked so hard to obtain 90% state funding
for the school building projects is she believes that, whether you
have children in the schools or not, education plays a significant
role in maintaining a vibrant community and providing
for a skilled, educated work force.
Jeannette knows that what goes on inside a school
building is not only key to a child's learning, but
essential for establishing a positive workplace for
staff and a welcoming environment to parents.
As your mayor, some of Jeannette's goals will be to:
| |
Ensure
all parents, teachers, staff and administrators are treated
fairly and with respect. |
| |
| |
Hire and support
the most qualified people. |
| |
| |
Give staff members
a fair opportunity to advance. |
| |
| |
Strive for educational
excellence rather than mediocrity. |
| |
| |
Support programs
designed to meet the needs of all students
to prepare them for success on MCAS, for college and/or the
workplace. |
| |
| |
Support mentor
programs with senior citizens, colleges and the business
community. |
| |
| |
Meet quarterly
with the city-wide PTO to foster a sense of community and to
offer educational opportunities city-wide.
|
| |
| |
Provide diligent
oversight of the school building projects to ensure
completion, both on time and on budget. Taxpayers should not
be responsible to pay for the mistakes of contractors
or other third parties. |
| |
| |
Ease the burden
of state and federal mandates by cooperating
with state and federal legislators. |

If you have other educational issues that you feel should be addressed,
please contact Jeannette at (781) 893-2445.
