Dear Waltham Voters,
If we let history be our teacher, the City of Waltham will again
be a leader. From the first mill complex in the new world, to
the invention of the lally column and microwaves, Waltham has
found ways to accomplish what was thought to be impossible.
To say it cannot be done or doesnít exist has not historically
stopped the residents of Waltham.
| I
am running for Mayor because Waltham needs a leader
who can not only protect and preserve
what we have, but who has the will, experience, and vision
to restore Waltham to its place of prominence
and bold invention. |
The City of Waltham is a multimillion dollar municipal operation.
Legal experience is a plus, not only in addressing crises, but
in avoiding legal landmines that are so common in todayís society
and in the day-to-day operation of our city.
Waltham people are good people. You will not find a more generous
people anywhere! I believe the people of Waltham
know best what they want. I listen
to them. I am tired of big outside developers
telling us how to live in Waltham! I
have not and will not accept campaign
contributions from outside developers. As your mayor, the only
boss I will have is you ‚ the people of Waltham. I will remember
that I am dealing with your money.
All of my life I have been a "doer."
If given the opportunity to serve as your mayor, I will make
this city proud because this is our
home.
In making your choice, I ask you:
To whom will you trust your children's / grandchildren's
/ family's education?
To whom will you trust your checkbook?
To whom will you trust your land?
To whom will you trust your city?
I respectfully ask for your vote on Tuesday, November 4, 2003.
Sincerely,
|
